ZF6 swap 98 Expedition
Well I got her done...
Was trying to read 5.0 merc thread, but the forum is sporadic today.
I open the thread, and it immediately kicks me out of it?
Ingredients needed to put it in a 1998 Ex.
MAster indigenous to host
Slave indigenous to trans
T-case indigenous to trans
Hydro hose from "Bricknose" era truck to connect the two.
Shifters indigenous to t-case/trans
Mod's necessary:
redrill two trans mount holes into cross member, the holes shift pass side 2".
driver side exhaust needs re -routed, NV271 interferes with exhaust running in stock location
NO BODY LIFT REQUIRED>
NO TRANS TUNNEL MODS NEEDED other that to make the holes for the new shifters.
ECM needs reflashed, DP tuners $75. ( http://www.dp-tuner.com/ )
have write up threads all over the internet.. this one should be easy to navigate...

The most brainless plug and play swap I have done.
Front shaft just needs a NV271 flange installed in place of the 44-06 flange, rear shaft needs same flange and a slip yoke installed.
