Question 2001 Lightning Headlights!

How do these run for from Ford? I have noticed that some of you here have them and they look sweet! I prefer the Ford crystal eye headlights better than the aftermarket ones from other companies (the quality on them sucked terribly). I found them on www.sportruck.com and the wanted $280 for the main headlight and $210 for the turn signals! That sounds ridiculous! I could have sworn they were cheaper!

yep that is a little much

I just checked with my local Ford Dealer, they want 210 for the lights (no bulb) and 180 for the side lights (with bulb).

Apparently they fit no problem....I also want em but need to somehow justify spending the 600 for them....Ill do a little side work so I dont feel as bad spending the dough. Man do they look sweet tho....!

Guys, let Ford sit on their inventory for a while and the prices will come back down to somewhat tolerable levels. You see, Ford sees the huge new demand as an opportunity to further their cause while scalping their customers...bad business. If they made money at around $250 a complete set, imagine how much they are making at $700+ a set. Don't get suckered into their price gouging, it's not worth it for $30 worth of plastic.

Hmm, but can you blame them?

They sell replacment parts not aftermarket so I don't blame them for it. Hike prices to shut down demand, otherwise it's make every purchase require a VIN from a 2001 Lightning.

I'm sure they can't keep up with demand since that's not what the parts are primarily for.

I have a complete set of '01 L headlights and corners for sale, make me an offer. I had these order since Feb when the price was reasonable, then I got mine from wwwMrTailLight.com and then the ones I ordered showed up a short time ago. If you are looking for a set of headlights and corners, send me an email @ www.ashlockboo@aol.com.

Thanks
