01 overhead display

Hey guys, i searched and found a ton of mis-callibrated compass threads, but not any with my situation.
The compass/temp readout in our 2001 expy xlt went out completely yesterday. It was working fine with no probs and today its completely out.
I checked the fuse and its fine. I was going to diagnose if it had power but i couldnt find an electrical schematic for it.
Anyone ran into similar problems?

I guess ill have to call up and see what the stealership wants for the module.

It's not the whole module that's bad, its usually one resistor number 510. Here's a link to write-up on an explorer forum, they are basically the same removal and fix.

Yea i remember seeing it a while back but i couldnt find it, never even thought to check the TAs lol. I searched up and down in the expedition forum and completely forgot that the 97-03 trucks had similar consoles.

Either way good looking out guys.

EDIT
For anyone that stumbles upon this thread in the future, here is the fix thread on here.

Had the same problem in my wife's 2001 xlt Expy. Fixed in less than 15 minutes using that thread.

Great writeup.
