Exclamation Help!~!

Hello,

I am looking at buying a 2001 Ford Expedition 4x4, it has the 5.4l. I have read a lot of reviews online saying there are serious issues with the transmission / transfer case. I know it is an extremely high mileage vehicle with over 160k on it. But, It is the right size for my family. The other issue I have is the price. They want around 5k for it. Any suggestions? Help? Opinions?

No Pics, after checking it out a bit, then test driving it. And, having it get stuck in 4L and not wanting to come out of it. I decided against it. I can deal with alot of issues, but, at the point that the transfer case doesn't want to switch, that tends to be a problem. Thank you guys for the assistance.
