Fuel pump wont stop

My wife ran her 200 Expedition out of gas yesterday and after we fueled it back something is running (Fuel Pump Maybe). I removed the battery cable to make it stop for the night. This morning I located the bleeder valve and started the engine but there was no air that came from the valve.

All help will be appreciated.

Does the pump still run with key-on-engine-off (koeo) ?
It should run for a few seconds to get up to pressure. When it was run dry it has to pressureize the whole system and it could run longer, that may be what you here. Or a bad fuel pressure regulator can let it continue to run.

That "bleeder" is where you connect a test gage.
