Has anyone here changed the radiator support on an expy or 150? these NY winters have done a number on mine. Both front body mounts are compleatly rotted out as is the lower main support for the radiator, looking like a compleat front end rebuild. the support is all one piece and is welded in with spot welds, i am hopeing to change this out in the next few weeks, new clip will be here wensday. and im thinking i can mig it in at the lowest setting on the welder and maybe add a little more strength to it by welding seams on each side, and possible adding an additional plate to bottom of support, and gussets alone bottom to connect to the inner fenders. Any thoughts. and am i in over my head with this? up to this point i have done every mod to the truck. but and border line with this task. looking at it theres alot to be removed before im even close to grinding and cutting out original piece.this is how the body mounts looked in februrary, they are now completely deteriorated.
