I have a 1997 Ford Expedition 4.6 just did a engine replacement and now need a Exhaust System and I was just wondering can I just run a straight pipe from the manifold on each side and attach mufflers in order to make duals instead of using the y pipe way???

 

well if you take they cats off i would think the check engine light would come on but is your truck a 4x4?

 

I only have the front two cats on mine and I cut the stock Y to make it a true dual with flowmaster 40s... and I love it sounds great when I am on the gas and at idle it is nice and mellow....

 

the pavment princess sounds like a beast under throttle, to bad my 4.6 dont sound sand that sweet

 

Yes I do have a 4x4 and whats wrong with 4.6 thats wat I have just got done with rebuild on it
