Added speakers to third row.

OK Im not done yet.
I really dont understand why they don't put speakers in the third row. But I added a Kicker 3" tweet to each side in the top trays behind the cup holders. Hope that makes sense. I want to cover it. The right side has a deeper tray and actually sounded a little off, so I took a piece of PVC and made it level to the other side.I was thinking about getting some tan speaker cover cloth and wrapping the whole top of the tray. Its rough so far but sounds great.

Yea, I'd definitely find a way of covering them. I don't think speakers like to lay out in the sun too much.

Does it sound off at all (like an echo coming from back there because of the distance)? That's the only thing I'd be worried with.

my kids put too much crap in there for that to be a consideration for me.

have you looked at putting some speakers in or behind the paneling in the very back? there is a ton of room

That was my first option or above the seat in the roof. But I got so confused on how to run the wiring because of the A/C compressor and vents and did not want to make it a BIG job I said screw it. The kids are still young and don't get back there yet. But down the road when they get older and if I haven't traded it in yet I may try again.

It's just the pop out trays on both sides. Shouldn't be that expensive to replace if need be.

did you place an extra 2 channel amp in the back to power the speakers or did you just splice off power from the OEM amp? My local auto audio shop says that I would need an extra amp to supply power to an extra 2 speakers (even that size) in the back, but I'm suspicious of their reasons for saying so
