Options to upgrade 09 Headlights?
I'm looking for options to upgrade my stock 2009 Expedition headlights. So far, the aftermarket for the Expedition seems generally limited. I found plenty of projector units on eBay, but they've all got the blue angel eyes and LED's in them too...I'm looking for something a little less flashy. No HID kits seem to be available either from what I can tell, short of popping xenon bulbs into stock reflector housings.
What have you guys done to your headlights? Are there any other models that have compatible lights?

what expedition do you have model? if you dont already have an expedition limited then you can upgrade to the expedition limited headlights

I've got the Eddie Bauer, so the black Limited headlights are an option...pretty slick looking, although I was hoping someone made an AEM replacement using projectors/HIDs (although I may look at the eBay ones if I can swap out bulbs to get rid of some of the blue). If I can't find a suitable AEM pair, those Limited headlights are pretty cool, and I could always pop a pair of Silverstars or PIAA whites into them.

I've seen a few guys do the HID retrofit in the F-150/Mustang world...but it just doesn't seem to be worth all the effort.
It can be done. But since the casings weren't designed with HID/projector in mind, they don't have the same illumination as a properly designed setup would.
not to mention the huge PITA to get there. I love the Limited Heads on my Expy. Black on Black looks awesome

Yeah, I don't want to just stick HID bulbs in the stock reflector housings because of the glare/aiming issues. I may just stick with upgraded bulbs...Silverstar Ultras or PIAAs. I'd love it if someone came out with a quality, reputable projector kit that included housings and was a direct swap, but until that happens, I think my best route is upgraded, DOT legal bulbs.
