Lightbulb is there any way i can put a reciever mount winch on a 2wd

i want to put an air suspension on a new expedition im looking at but cant find a way to do it on a 4wd so if i get a 2wd is there any way i can mount a reciever mount winch on a 2wd frame. warn says they are different and there are no 2wd applications but is there a way to custom fab something that will work good and be just as rigid.

Try HiddenHitch.com Part# 5011 may be what you need.

You doing the reciever in the front or the rear?

If the front, some of the best fits (and sturdiest units) that I have seen, is to have a local welding shop make you a 2" recieiver mount, and they can put it pretty much any where you want it.

If in the rear, make sure that you get a minimum Class3 2" reciever (I personally think if you are doing that, its worth the additional few $$s to go Class5 in case you decide to tow large trailers later).

Beyond that, any 2" reciever will hold any 2" mounted winch. Too big a winch housing, there are 2" hitch extensions available at most hitch shops.

As always, good luck and take pics to post.

i was looking for a front mount reciever. yea what you said about the custom reciever would probably be stronger than the store bought one too.i just dont want the thing to rip off and pull off my bumper. it would make an intresting story though. thanks ill see what the local welding shop can do.
