HELP!! battery not recharging

Post HELP!! battery not recharging

all of a sudden my Expedition would not start today. i jumped it (took forever) and ran it around to charge, and let it sit for some time charging. i go to shut if off and start it back up and nothing... i don't think the battery is recharging, what could be the problem???? it happened out of the blue. i have the 5.4 Eddie Bauer.

Take the battery to an auto parts store to have them test it. If you drive down to the auto parts store they can also check the alternator. They can only check the alternator if the vehicle is running. It is most likely one of those 2 items. When they test them you should know which one is bad then.

I was wondering what year your expy is? I find it strange that you have to replace the battery already.if it is 99 or newer. Maybe even 98.

IN hot climates like Texas, it's normal to see an OEM battery to die at 2, maybe 3 years. I replaced my Jeep GC battery at 2 years. I don't think my Volvo's battery will make it this summer so that puts it at almost 3 years.
