I have a 98 2WD expedition a couple days ago i was pulling out my boat and i backed in the trailer a little to fare and got stuck in wet sand. so i dug out and looked under the Expedition to hook up the tow line and saw no good place to hook it other than the steering column and i know that cant be good for the car. so is there anywhere I can hook it other than that??

 

the way the front bumbers are designed, there is really no good place.
your best bet is to get some towhooks and install them on the frame.
