Talking More Headphones for the 01 Rear Video System

I got the part number for additional wireless headphones for the the 2001 rear entertainment system in the X-EB (and other Ford 2001 systems for that matter).
It was a hard one to find, so here you go.
PN: YL1Z-18C604-AA
It sells for 56.00 ea (that is a SINGLE headset).

I got a price of 44.80 on it from Dan Newman at 5Star (FordPartsForSale.com)

Its a seemingly expensive unit, but since the X only came with 2, I needed a 3rd so that we don't have a war in the back (if you know what I mean)

Good tip! Thanks for the part number.

Has anyone figured a way to tie the back seat audio system into the factory installed entertainment system? It looks like the wireless headphones are only good for the VCR.

    Thanks

    Oooh, good thought.
I will check it out when I tear it apart.
I plan on installing a Nintendo64 in the center console.
I already have the power inverter, and have ordered the additonal rca adapter and power adapter from Nintendo.
You have to do a power inverter into their 110 brick, because the N64 brick is doing a step down into 12volt and 3volt and something else. There are 6 leads coming out of their power brick into the back of the N64.
Anyway, I am going to check into it.

I'm building our rear seat ent area now, since our '00 did not and could not have the rear ent system. I'm using a RF modulator for the rear sound. That way the kids or me can either plug in headphones or play it over the factory speakers. I thought about the IF headphones like the factory system but who knows I might want to hear it. As far as the N64 goes if you don't have one look into the PS2. It will also play DVD's.I'll hopefully have pics in a couple of weeks.
