Post Left Foot Braking

Does anyone here left foot brake? If so, when, why and to what degree do you left foot brake? Are there any advantages? By the way if you do left foot brake, what model are you driving?

I just heard about LFB last week. It seems alot of guys driving the bigger SUVs LFB, not sure if it's true though.

Thumbs up

Hmm, I guess you're talking about just using you left foot to brake and right on the gas? Like a taxi driver.

I do it quite a bit. Of course I commute in mostly hwy and larger road traffic and try to save as much time as possible (an impatient driver) so I'm ready to stop or go quickly.

And being in a larger vehicle the reaction time for one foot driving is a little less maybe.

I use the left foot 100% of the time for breaking and have been doing it that way for 20 years. I am just more comftorable doing it this way, no matter what vehicle I am driving.

100% LFB. Always have and probably always will unless I switch to a manual trans.

I only left foot break when im backing up to dry off my brake pads. Besides that never, that might be because I drive a manual.

I mostly LFB, but sometimes I only use the right foot..

Actually, this truck is the first automatic that I have owned (been driving since '84 and this is my 4th vehicle), and I assume that it is because I've always been used to using my left foot with a clutch..

I've always driven automatics this way.. The only trick is to make sure that you completely remove your right foot from the gas while braking, so that you dont over-wear the brakes..

Here on I-95 in South Florida we BFB (Both foot brake), Downshift to Low, and grab for the E-Brake to accomodate all the 95 year old drivers who reside here in "God's Waiting Room for the Elderly".
