Post rear airspring removal

Can anyone tell me how to remove the rear airspring from a Lincoln Navigator? I followed the instructions in the repair manual but that did not work. How do I deflate the airspring?? Any info. would be greatly appreciated!

Only thing I can offer and I'm sure you did it was to turn off the suspension first? On the Expy the switch is up by the fire wall near the passengers feet.

Sorry, not much help.
