Question '99 & '00 AutoLamp switches

I have a '00 EB, but I think I saw, read, heard somewhere that the '99's had a delay switch for the autolamps instead of the set 20 sec (which seems like a very fast 20 secs sometimes) Is it possible to buy a 99 switch assy and replace the one in my '00?

Do they have the same wiring? Or are they so different I'm stuck with the set 20sec timmer that it has now?

It would just be nice to have longer since I bought my "truck" because I do live in the country, and it's nice to have a path lit up at night for more than a mere 20secs.

Thanks for any help
Bryan

My 99EB has an adjustable delay. It is a dial switch next to the headlamp switch.
havn't looked at a 00, so I don't know if it is interchangable.

Question

After looking in the electrical section of this board I found this link: http://www.geocities.com/tedoca/headlight.html
I now wonder since the whole assy. is removable, what is the difference between a '99 model with auto lamps, and a '00 model?? Are they interchangable?
On my '00 the rotary switch 4 positions (left to right): Auto lamps, off, park, head/fog.
I just wondr if it would be as simple as getting a '99 assy and swaping it into place?

Any ideas? I have not looked for any wiring diagrams for the 99 & oo yet.

bryan, my '99 has Autolamps. From your description I see the difference now. My rotary switch has three positions(no autolamps). Next to it is the dimmer wheel for the instrument panel. Next to that is a dimmer wheel for the Autolamps. Cranked all the way down is OFF. Then it is rolled up for between 20 seconds and three minutes.

Sorry, forgot I was the Expedition/Navigator Forum, it may not apply.
