Super Whites
Installed the super-white bulbs into my 2000 Expy this week, for both the headlights and foglights. I love 'em! Thanx, Roger(from the Online store) for the quick delivery. The installation was very easy for the foglights. For the headlights, the driver side was a bit trying. It's tight trying to get your hand between the frame and the radiator overflow container to access the back of the headlights. To move the overflow container, you need to remove the plastic radiator shroud to access its bolt. Once it was moved, access was fine.
Here's a question: I would love to put super whites on my running boards to match. Have anyone ever put super whites on the running boards? Can this be done? If so, can anyone supply a part number and source?
Thanx.

IF you would have just pulled up on the to headlight slide mounts you could have just slid the headlight out and then just slide it back in and just push down on the 2 tabs/mounts....next time. They have a little L shape to them coming out the top.

Yep, that's true, just pull the tabs up and slide out the whole light.
Anyhow, you say you love the SW's? Are they any brighter than stock or just whiter and look good? And do the driving lights actually do more good as far a throwing more light out onto the ground? I'm surprised at how the stock driving lights don't really do much. Just look a good when on.

I have them on my 98 expy. I love them, to bad the drivers in front of me hate them. I get people in oncoming cars flash at me all of the time, the people I follow tap their brakes to tell me to turn my hi beams off. They are much whiter, but not blinding. Every now and then I flash back at the other drivers to let then know how bright the hi beams actually are. You can see pics at my webpage in my signature.

Thanx for the tips, guys. Guess I made it a lot harder than it needed to be. You're right, next time.
FamilyRide,
To me, they seem to throw more light laterally than the stock ones. Other than that and the look, that's about it. I need to drive my wife Volvo to see the contrast again.
Xplosiv98,
Haven't seen that plate around time, I'll start looking!
Can any of you help me with the Super White bulbs for my running boards? Anybody upgraded those?

jmartinb,
The headlight bulbs are 9007's but what about the driving lights?
I've heard some complain about the bulbs from Roger being too blue. Any thoughts? They're cheaper than the PIAA's but the PIAA's are supposed to be really white and almost as intense as HID's.
One of my wifes driving lights on her Volvo burned out tonight. I started looking to replace all of hers but she said "no way". She hates them. Plus it would be over $225 to replace headlights and driving lights so that firmed up her "No".
By the way, what about corners? Did you replave them or stick with stock amber?

The lights from Roger do have a blue tone to them. Too much? Don't know yet, but they aren't bothering me and don't affect visibility. (Besides, I have dark blue Expy!) I've heard good things about the PIAAs, too, but what are "HIDs"? So far, I'm very happy with the bulbs from Roger.
From Roger, the part number for the foglights is: 9145X
Intersting idea about the corners...hmmmm. Haven't done anything with them. What color\type of bulbs would we use use to replace them.
By the way, as I posted on our Exhaust thread, I ordered the Gibson Swept Side yesterday, as well as a Hellwig rear anti-sway bar. Whoo-ho!! Thanx for the help on it.
