Red face Windows roll up/down without keys???

Has anyone experienced this with their expy. Every other time I can roll up/down the windows on any door from the drivers door or from that particular door with the keys out of the ignition. The radio doesn't work nor the the other accessories work when you have the keys in and in the turned back/for position. Its a 2000 with 5.4L. 6,000mile/6 months old. Thanks
Robert

what the deal is, you can roll the windows up and down if the key is out before you open any door. It does this on my '98 F150 and it also does it on my moms '99 Expy.

hope this helps.

I think the term is "retained power." Windows will continue to operate for something like 15 minutes or until you open one of the doors.

Dennis is right.

"Accessory Delay" allows windows, moonroof and flip vent windows to be usable for up to 10 minute after the engine is turned off, as long as the passenger and driver doors remain closed.
