Oil Filter?
Motorcraft FL820S. All others are second best, and second place is the first loser.

If I'm thinking of the same web site, it was a Mopar site to boot!! They cut open just about every brand imaginable, and Motorcraft was the fav.

I agree with Sycoholic. This was discussed in depth many months ago. Someone put up a site where a guy had actully cut many of the filters open and posted his findings. Turned out the Motorcraft was one of the best, especially for the price.
Thanks for the info. I will certainly use Motorcraft! Who OEMs the filter for Motorcraft?
Sycoholic I noticed that you have the Ford bug shield too. I swear mine does practically nothing. But it sure looks good!

Any filter made by Champion Labs are the best. These brands include Motorcraft, Purolator, Quaker State, STP. Mobil 1
Fram are of lesser quality in that the seams are not rolled and the element, paper can disintegrate.
I personally use the Mobil 1 Filter and the Purolator Pure One Series. The difference is the Filter Elements used and the PRessure valve mechanisms. Motorcraft does not make their own filter. Also there is a motorcraft racing series filter. It runs about $15.00 It is made with a heavier gage metal and has a denser filter media. I have seen it in the FL-1A size but not sure if you can get it in other part numbers.
I have modified my Expediton with a relocator kit and moved the Oil Filter to the rear near the transmission and adding a FL-A size Filter. The Hoses are S/Steel Aircraft flex hoses. This helps move the oil out of the engine and cools it before returning to the engine. Since I tow with it in the desert there is a difference in the oil temp since I added a oil temp gauge and mounted that below the ash trayon the center cosonsole.
