I have spent hours searching the web with no luck. Anyone have hard data from reputabel magazines regarding Expedtion performance, namely 0-60 times and 1/4 mile ET and mph. If you have anything, make sure you mention the year, engine (4.6 or 5.4)and 4x2 or 4x4 configuration.

I did find one review of a 98 4x4 5.4 of 9.2 second 0-60.

A friend brought me the April 97 MotorTrend last nite. It shows a 4wd, 5.4 1997 Expy XLT with the 3.73 with the exact numbers you have above: 0-60 in 9.8 sec and 17.3/77.6mph in the 1/4, so the #'s you saw must be for a 4wd. The article was a comparo of the 97 4wd Expy vs. the 97 4wd Tahoe. The Expy won, "hands down" according to the MT editors.

I ran some G-Tech tests on my Expy yesterday and will post the results in a new thread.

It is not clear whether it's a 2wd or 4wd or what rear end was used.

Motor Trend shows their test #s on a '97 5.4 Expy. This is the 230hp/325tq motor vs. the newer 260/350 motors.

Anyway, it shows 0-60 in 9.8 sec and 17.3/77.6mph in the 1/4. This is a 2WD XLT.

I can only guess the newer motors would run in the low 9-sec 0-60 range.

Just found out an acquaintance of mine up here near Dallas ran his '99 5.4 2wd last summer and pulled 16.31 @ 84mph.

stock vehicle, stock weight.
