Edelbrock IAS Shocks Installed
Had a local shop install the Edelbrock IAS shocks ($50) on my Expy. After using them on my 97 Explorer XLT (which I traded in for my Expy!), I swear by these shocks. Yes, I know they are comparatively expensive ($279 a set of 4) to other after-market shocks. To me, they are well worth the additional expense.
With only 3K miles on my truck, I noticed only moderate improvement with the ride. More importantly, they greatly help with the body roll\leaning characteristics of this vehicle.
Just an FYI, anyone happy with OE shocks and looking for set, I'm let them go for a modest price.
Any questions, feel free to ask.

Those Edelbrock IAS shocks are *well* worth their cost in improved ride quality *and* better ability to handle larger bumps, to say nothing of the improved cornering capabilty. You feel much more comfortable driving the vehicle with them, they are a very nice addition.
Enjoy!

My 2K Expy does NOT have LLS. The Edelbrock IAS shock part numbers, for my vehicle, are as follows:
3360 - Front
3460 - Rear
I don't know if the shock part numbers are different for the Expy with load levelling suspension. You probably best off calling Edelbrock directly to get that information.
Sorry, but I'm not very familiar with LLS.
Enjoy your new Expy; you'll love it!

If the X has the Load leveling system, it only has two shocks that don't use air. In other words one pair you can change, the other's are factory air shocks. Somebody can clarify me on that.

My 2000 Expy will be in next week, can you post the Part number and details? Also, did you have load leveling suspension? I will have it on mine and don't know exactly how it works yet.....I wonder if shocks are shocks when it comes to trading them out while having load leveling suspension.....

Our F-150 has had the Edelbrock shocks installed for almost 20 months now (30,000 miles) and they still perform like a dream. Just think!, in two 14 more days (8 April) we are driving up to Torrance, CA to tour the Edelbrock plant a long w/ several members of the this list. I can't wait to go! This is in addition to the Knots Berry Farm all ford show. If you want more info. about the tour click here; https://www.f150online.com/f150board...ML/000144.html
