What would you pick? Expedition or Explorer?
Me, the Expedition with the 5.4L, or if I had even more money, the Navigator.

Went shoping for an Explorer and came home with an Explorer. Test drove an Expedition and liked it very much but it was more than what was needed. The Explorers have a "personality" that is hard to describe and for as many of them as I got tired of looking at over the years I certainly never thought I would own one. Ford hit a major homer with the Explorer and this is the one vehicle I will keep until it absolutely falls apart, I will always keep it around as a third car even after it is replaced. That is how much I like it.
Expedition with the 5.4. Then put a blower on it and lower it about 3 inches.

I have both...the Explorer is my "work" car
and we use it for short trips to the mountains, lake, etc...The Expey,5.4,third seat..(mom's car), we use for long trips and
when the entire family (5) goes somewhere.
Had an MPV but my 6'3" 250# son outgrew it!
He now wants the Explorer as "his" (just got his license) so...I will get another Explorer
if that happens.

Love the Expedition, lusted for one in my heart, but had a '91 Explorer that racked up 201,00 miles before I got rid of it. The only major things I ever had go wrong with it were the air conditioning had to be replaced in '92 (warranty) and a tranny in '94 (also warranty). I used it to haul 2 different boats, a Land Rover hunting buggy (out to the Texas Big Bend country, lots of hills!), and I could always count on it to do what I needed.
The only reason I don't have a new Explorer is I bought a Lightning instead. Just couldn't resist that blower!

She had a Nissan Pathfinder, she looked at the X-Terra. We saw how much it was (25K). I told her to look at the Expedition. We went looking, started with the Expedition, then looked a bit at the Explorer. She said the Explorer was too small, I said "RIGHT ON!!!!" She than said the Expedition wouldn't fit in the garage with the F150. I said we'll make it fit!!
Well, we suck our guts in every time we get in and out of either truck. But they do both fit in the garage with inches to spare.

Where do these questions come from??
I would definantly(sp?) have an Expedition over a Explorer, although the 2001's may look cool, My folks bought an early 1991 Explorer when they came out in 90, it was nice, but it rode terrible, the expedition I rode in, was VERY comfortable, snappy, rode nice, and had a nice appeal. The only thing that sucked on it was the factory cassette. Wheres the cd and cassette?

According to http://www.radiosandmore.com/, you can buy the combo CD and cassette aftermarket (from them of course) and it will fit IF you trim some plastic behind the radio in the dash.
Went looking at the Expedition and brought home the Expedition... Unfortunately I got the 4.6 liter XLT. Way underpowered, but we'll rectify THAT situation when the lease is up in another year.
