Post Drove a 2000 SPORT EXPY - PU!

I was NOT impressed with it AT ALL!!!
I have a 98 XLT 5.4 4x4 loaded. I drove a 2000 4x4 Sport 5.4 loaded. The 2000 did not drive very well. Whats up with the MAC TRUcK LIKE steering?? The new 5.4 (260 hp) felt extremely under powered compared to my 98. Maybe it needed to break in? I gave it a nice shot of gas and I heard almost like a backfire sound and the engine was NOT smooth. Did they move the torque curve up?

GOOD: Looks, interior, sport

BAD: Still using crappy Goodyears, Engine, Steering, Not enough crome....

The Mack Truck steering box was change 3/99. Too many people had the too sensitive steering problem. I had mine changed out last month for the Mack truck box, it felt better but not all gone. The suspension was also for the birds! I kind of fixed that with better tires (Goodyear AT/S), swaybar, CUSTOM made shocks from EDLEBROCK (that will hit the market soon) that made a big difference. A little stiffer because of the extra sidewall on the AT/S's. NOW not all X's have this problem!!!!!!!! Just a few of us. Some people live with it. Anyway I'm going to keep it now, I was going to trade it if I couldn't straighten it out.
