I know there are posts on here about knocking noises and such, BUt they all say the noise goes away after is warms up or. The noise, sounds like a quiet deisel is at idle, when its cold/hot, it dont matter it is always there but only at idle.

 

WOW, Nobody has ever experienced this. It still does it. Somebody please give me an idlea about this

 

You will probably get an answer in the V8 Engine section. My guess is you have a loose valve, the tick is just the excess clearance. Try to isolate where the noise is using a mechanic stethoscope (best) or a piece of hose held up to your ear. If it sounds like it is under the valve cover, it is probably the valve clearance.
