Replacing factory NAV

We have an '03 EB Expedition with factory NAV system. I hate this system and want to replace with aftermarket, but no one makes a full-size NAV for this vehicle. Has anyone found a way to replace the factory nav? What are the issues?

Well, no pros at all. If the 04 is the same as the 03, get one without it.

1. Screen too small
2. Logic used in this unit VERY inferior. Is not capable of directing you accept on well-known major routes (we have the latest update too). If you start taking a back way that you know, it will continue to tell you to "make a legal u-turn" until you get back on the main route. I live in the DC area and it is almost impossible to use it in DC because it keeps directing you out of the city to go around and come back in. I do not have this issue with my factory NAV for my Charger ('06).
3. Does not tell you to turn until it is too late. We have missed many turns due to the retarded way that this unit announces things.
4. Just archaic, acts like a generation 1 GPS unit.
5. If you get factory NAV, it is near impossible to extricate it from the car. No one makes a harness adapter, no one makes a radio that fits the hole. It is an overall crappy radio/NAV unit. I see no redeeming qualities in it.

Do yourself a favor and don't get it!
