Question Throttle Position Sensor

Due to the wife I had a great night standing in the dark, holding a flashlight and trying to figure out why her '99 Expedition would not run (oh yeah we were in the parking lot of where she works). She said that it was running rough on her way to work and thought it may be the battery or the alternator so I replaced the battery and myself gave it a shot at starting the Expedition. I was able to get it started but, if I did not keep in the gas it would stall. I had the wife cycle the ignition a few time while I checked to make sure the fuel pump was working (it was) to rule it out as the problem. I think I have the problem narrowed down to the being the throttle position sensor, my questions are has anyone replaced one, are they hard to replace and where is it located. I have a good sense of what I am doing while working on vehicle most of the time but would like to have an idea before I go and start tearing into the job.

What would make you think its the TPS? Did you try the fuel filter?

When it died (the electrical) was it because it was weak or due to overcranking?
