If this really is true, then I need to buy a good electric fan kit asap.

Can they really make a 2+MPG difference?

Troyer's kit has seen anywhere from a 1-2.5 mpg improvement.

Get rid of your clutch fan and put an e-fan on, you'll add some MPG.

Around 15 mpg mixed. That's with all the mods, expect the E-fans and UD pullies. Still don't have ennough fill-ups to give a MPG number after those two mods.

Oh yea, I'm not easy on that throttle, either

Even with my blower and all that, I still get about 11MPG. On the highway though, I can get about 16mpg.

03 4.6l, 3.73 w/ mods...

efans, UD pulleys, AF1 intake. I am getting about 14 mostly city to 17.5 mostly highway on winter gas. Did the UD pulley install this fall, so I don't have data on summer mileage. However, based on previous experience, I usually pick up about 2 mpgs during summer so I am hoping for 16 city to 19~20 highway during summer (no AC of course).

I also have "AirTabs" installed along the rear top edge of the roof and along the rear edge of the rear glass windows. suposedly helps creat voticies behind the blunt end of vehicles (actually they are marketed to Semi's and trailers) to effectively lower the Cd. Also took off the roofrack (I never use it anyway). I believe when I did that I noticed about .5 mpg increase. I think they helped a little and they look kinda kool

been trying to figure out how to reduce drag from those gigantic rearview mirrors... Gotta be a better way!

15-17 between the city and highway. Was crappier before the new MAF sensor and plugs/cop's.

Oh yea, I also took the top rack off of mine. Went ahead and painted it black since it was fading, but it's still sitting in my room. Slowly, my room is getting filled with car parts, the rack, the clutch fan, the extra 16" e-fan, the fan shroud, and the black decorative engine cover (the one that goes over the engine and says "Triton 4.6" and has the Ford emblem.)

Just filled up, got 17.53mpg on BP 93 octane. It has been much warmer this week, in the 50s-low 70s and I've tried keeping it below 2krpms on accelerations...

The 315 70r17's are on the way though...

I get @ 14.5 in the '98 and 15.5 in the '06...both a mix of city/hwy on 87 octane. The '98 has a Gibson exhaust and K&N filter, the '06 is stock..both are 2wd with 3.31 rear ends.

2000 Expy 5.4 A4WD with 49xxx miles.

Picked it up about 3 weeks ago and got about 11.5 MPG on the first tank. Some probably consider it low (seeing how I did have 120 highway miles), but I work 2 miles from home and my truck barely warms up... My SVT Focus was getting 20 MPG on the same trip (car was getting 3-5 MPG better than sticker), so I think it's pretty close. Not to mention that it was the first tank owning my Expy and I HAD to clean the carbon out.

Next tank will be interesting. I Seafoamed, did a synthetic oil change, and installed my AF1 intake. Not too worried. I got the Expy for hauling stuff, not gas mileage.

ESF - What color is your Expy? Mine is the same color and I have no clue if it's the deep (whatever) blue or medium (whatever) blue. Long day at work... can't remember exact name.
