High Mileage Expedition (what’s next)

I have a high mileage 00 Expedition (180K miles). I have replaced the trans, changed the coils, alternator, idle valve, etc. What is looming next? I expect perhaps a water pump, but would like your input on anything else.

Rear end? All belts, hoses, etc? Wheel bearings, tie rods.

I have a 98 with 115,000 miles. Original engine and trans. Original COPs too. Hell......even the A/C system is original and working flawlessly. It's never been opened and it's still fully charged. Rear axle shouldn't be a problem as long as you do regular oil changes. The HVAC temp. blend door is a common problem (crapy plastic design). The only front end part I've replaced is the pitman arm and that was last week. Everything is still very solid on the truck. I wouldn't worry too much.

I have an ex cop 98 expy. It's got vinyl seats and vinyl floor. It's got at least 300K on it even though the odo reads 90.

The things that I've done so far are the lower *****, the front 4x4 drive shaft ( no grease nipples from ford, new knuckle joint kit comes with )

I changed out the power steering box cause the steering was way to sloppy on the freeway. Turns out thats how some retard designed it.

I still have a weird sensation on the freeway. Feels like a miss, like the wind is hitting the truck for a split second and then it does it again and again.... It's odd. But that's it.

Change your oils out at every scheduled intervals and that's it.

I have one now with 148k and had another from work with 250k and no big issues at all the key is regular maintenance.

I change oil every 2500 after they hit 100k and do all the other stuff like rear end oil change and trans flush. After that is just luck of the draw.

I have seen many of these go way over 250k with nothing more than regular maintenance.

I've had to replace my radiator, the starter and the resistor pack on the blower (high or off). And the normal things you listed. I've got 190K on mine.
