Out with the old, in with the less old...
A couple of days ago, we traded our 120k '97 Expy in on a '99 Navigator with 62k.
My wife actually went back to the dealer today just to see "her truck" one last time... We had the '97 for close to 7 years and put 82k of the miles on it. Other than replacing the alternator (2x), those awful Goodyears (Michelins are amazing), and finally- the stupid air handler door (only thing I couldn't tackle by myself), that truck was perfect.
Finally started to notice the air suspension coming on more often than usual, so it was time to trade. Wife wouldn't hear of anything but another Expy or Navigator. Found a one-owner that looks new (not even a door ding).
The 5.4 DOHC feels quite a bit stronger than the 4.6 in the Expy, and the interior feels like sitting in our media room!
Here's hoping for the same kinda luck with the "new/old" truck!
