2008 Navi

Hey folks. I just got the better half a new Navi. Our '04 was getting a lot of miles on it and it just didn't make sense for us to keep it.

What I was hoping to find it is if anyone on the board has a two wheel drive Navi and if you do, could you please measure the hieght of the top of the fender to the ground and difference between tire and fender. Both of us agree that the '08's sit to high, especially since they don't have four wheel air suspension anymore. It's now just the rear when you get the trailer tow package.

I'll probably end up just cutting a coil off the front and "fooling" the rear air sensors.

Small update. I had the front windows tinted 30% and put the oval chrome exhaust tip from our '04 Navi that came with the monotone package. I couldn't stand that little round tip. The bugger part was that I had to grind it off because it was welded on if you could believe it. Our '04 was just clamped on.

Oh yeah, I found a shop that is going to have some springs made up so that it can be dropped properly. Hopefully do that soon.

Nice Navi, I really like the color. Only thing I really hate is the gauge cluster, what was ford thinking

I like the dash alot, but they should've stuck these in instead, lol

I agree, I think the Nav has a worse cluster than the new Expy, which I didn't think was possible. Looks like a 60's style alarm clock.

It's ugly for sure and is the worst part of the vehicle. I do have to say that I am getting used to it, but it is doggone hard to see your speed at a glance. Can't believe that the design slipped through al the testers.

As for the dash it is very nice, much like a '61-'64 lincoln. Downside is that if you have the camel interior, the dash puts a strong reflection on the windshield. Otherwise except for the ride hieght we love it.
