Compass removal

I have a 97 Expedition with a compass that reads N all the time. Ive tried to reset it but it doesnt work. I have access to another 97 Expedition with a compass that works.
How hard is it to replace/switch from truck to truck?
What tools will I need?
And can it be done in a relatively short period of time?
Thanks

Sounds like you just need a new sensor for the compass... unless the mirror went bad....

You will only need a flat head screw driver for the mirror swap.
