Steering Weight

I'm just curious, how heavy does the steering feel in your 03-06 Expedition? My wife's 04 is a lot heavier then my 07 F150.

Thanks

Mine has a steering assist. your wifes may too. If it is malfunctioning...then it may be harder to steer.

steering assist, what do you mean? I know it's a power rack and pinion.

My 03's steering is fabulous - tight, plenty of road feel, easy to move when standing still. If it were any better I'd be driving a race car

At slower speeds, my steering "loosens" to assist turning and "tightens" during high speed travel. As it says in the manual, if this malfunctions it may affect the feel of the steering.

Dude, I could be totally off. I am by no means an expert. I just remember it from the manual.

Never heard of this, but then again, can't say I actually looked in the manual either. Will have to talk to the folks at the dealer about this.

Thanks!!!
