Cool Adding Navigation to '04 EXP??

I am currently looking at an '04 Eddie Bauer with about every option except Navigation. It currently has a CD/tape deck and I was wondering what all was involved to add the factory Navigation and ditch the factory radio. Or, would it be better to buy an aftermarket system? Any help would be greatly appreciated!

I was in your situation. I recently purchased a 04 Expy Eddie Bauer as well, but no Navi.

After reviewing all options, I was going to go with a Pioneer AVIC double din for $950 installed. It came with a large screen, plays DVDs, and a better Navi system than compared to the OEM unit, plus a larger screen.

Instead I decided on a portable Navi system. After reading tons of reviews, I choose the Garmin Nuvi 350. It's very sleek, compact, portable, long battery life if you don't want to plug it in, uploads of maps online instead of expensive DVD maps, super accurate, and can move to multiple cars.

I got it on sale for $550 a few months ago, it's probably cheaper now. There’s obviously less “bling factor” with a portable system instead of a pretty double din one, but it’s more useful and practical since you can bring it with you, and take to multiple cars.

Thanks for the reply. Where did you purchase the Garmin Nuvi 350? I may do some scouting on Crutchfield. I don't know whether I'm interested in moving it from car to car, but the DVD feature sounds nice. Is there another model you might recomend that will replace this junky factory radio? If this had the 6 Disc changer like it was suppose to, then I would would probably go with the Garmin. Thanks again for the help.
