01 Trailer plug issues

SO I went to rent a trailer today, and when we went to check the lights, only the left turn/stop/hazard will work, ONLY the left side!! I don't understand this, are there seperate fuses maybe for each function? I have used this before towing and everything worked fine.

Thanks

i had a similar problem a while back...
just had to use an electronics spray cleaner to blow out the contacts in that connector, because the dust cap doesnt seat too well on mine.
blew out all the gunk and it works like a dream!

Also, there is a fuse for the right side and left side, if I am not mistaken.

Under the hood. All trailer functions have a separate fuse.
