I hate deer!!

Wednesdy morning my wife called me to say she hit a deer on the way to work. It destroyed the front bumper cover and bent the front fender pretty bad as well as destroying my wheelwell liner. It also knocked the alingment out. I dropped it off at the shop this morning for repair. The initial estimate is almost $2700.00.

No, the deer didn't have any insurance. Heck, just the front bumper cover was a grand!

Try to claim it under the comprehensive clause in your insurance. My sister recentely hit a deer and her insurance company said that it was and Act Of God.So her rates didnt go up.But you still have to pay the detuctible

My wife left the victim laying in the highway as a warning to all others who dare to cross her path.

2700.... pisha.....

One of my 06 Kenworth T2000's hit a damn moose in North Dakota. You don't even want to know what the repair bill was on that. Put it this way, the front end was on one side of the road and the rest of the truck was on the other. Not to mention the load of commercial air-conditioners on the trailer (flatbed) that was dumped down the highway (that load was insured for $4mil). One of the units only had a pierced condenser coil. I think just the repair on that one was almost 10k. Part of the load included this thing that 's about the size of a file cabinet and is some kind of computerized HVAC control system for the hospital these units were headed to. That thing by itself was over 1/4 mil and it was completely destroyed. Thank God for good insurance and contracts with liability limitations! I am just soooo glad nobody was hurt. F the truck. It was a really bad day for that driver and truck. Earlier that day, the whole grill was ripped off when it got backed into by another truck at a truck-stop. I was calling around looking for a dealer who could go ahead and get one painted and ready so the driver could just swoop in and have it stuck on when I got the call. I literally cringe when I hear my phone ring anymore. Last summer we lost a truck and trailer in New Jersey when somehow, the driver got mixed up and ended up trying to drive the truck onto a wooden dock so he would have enough room to turn around. Creek, crunk, splash. I don't know what the hell he was thinking, but that was a very expensive "oops". He too was OK though. The water was only about 6' deep there and the side of the cab was completely above water. It cost almost as much to pull the truck, trailer, and load out of the water as the truck, trailer, and load was worth! Friggen cranes are expensive!

It's funny, I own a few of these trucks and can't even legally drive one (no CDL).
