PI Swap.

Did the Expedition get the PI manifold and heads in 99? just like the Mustang? The reason I ask is, I want to start looking for a PI manifold and heads for my 97. It has around 130k on it and when it is time for the overhaul I want to upgrade to the PI heads and manifold. Anyone done this yet?

I have looked into this. THe PI head were added in 99. The labor estimate to change the heads is a shad under 24 hours time. Figure ballpark $100 an hour, 2400 bucks just in labor before you even get the heads. But there are worthy of somem good ol upped power to, especially if you're running a blown motor.

I though about it, but two days of work for 50hp never enthralled me

24 hours? that seems a little crazy. I will have to look up under the hood some more. I just swapped manifolds on my 99 Stang and it took about 4 hours max. It is pretty similar right? except the tighter work space.
