keyless entry keypad code

I have a 2001 Expedition and no keypad code. To old to get down and find the code on the computer module. It may have already been removed according to the first owner. Is there any "magic" code to deactivate the old number so I can reprogram to the family universal number?

Do not want to go to dealer if I do not have to.

If the little sticker on the computer module (in the driver side footwell, left hand side) is gone, then I'm afraid a trip to the dealer is order. There is no "magic" universal code. It is possible to program a second number in addition to the one from the factory (like you say, to match the other vehicles in your family), but the factory assigned one also remains.

Au contraire, amigo. It is quite possible to get two numbers in there. As a matter of a fact, my local Ford dealer programs every single car on his lot with a second number (all the same) so they can open them easily. My dads aviator still has both of them to this day.
