I just noticed my Driver side mirror "split" it's got a crack through the middle of the mirror. I haven't called a dealer yet, but since the color plate cover was like $70-$80, I figure the whole mirror will be like $250 (heated signal mirror of course). Since the color cover is already broken as well I figured my best option is find one in a salvage yard in the same color. Anyone know what years are compatiable with the 2000? I also assume there's some secret tricks to getting the assembly off, any hints on that as well? Any hints on where to start calling? I haven't gont to a "junk" yard since I sold my '66 Stang and that was years ago and another state. If there's any local tips, I'm in OKC, or of course ordering online is fine.
