Ok I have to replace my blend door and heater core tomorrow. I have searched for days now and can find no instructions on how to remove the Expedition center console. 97 Expedition EB. Please help quick as i am starting tonight.

 

Assuming its like mine, there are two screws holding the storage area in the center down. One in the bottom of the storage area under the little rubber cover, and another where the top opens to the CD changer area. Take those two out, and then you can take out the area where the changer is and you find many, many more bolts.

 

Ok here it is for a 97 Expedition EB.

6 screws and 1 bolt.

1 under the mat in the storage area.
1 at the rear of the storage area between and behind the cup holders.
Lift the storage area up and out of the console.
Now, hard to picture but under the removed storage area there are only 2 screws to remove. I think they were 8mm They are silver in color and are in the very bottom of the first depression, from the front, in the white frame.

The other 2 are hidden by the seats and some pop off covers. Slide the seats all the way forward. On either side at the bottom near the rear of the console remove the two cosmetic covers. Take the 2 screws out. The console will now slide to the rear. You must then remove the wiring harness connector from the console. 10mm captive bolt. Fish the connector and wire out. Lift the console and your done.
