need help
Are you sure that screws are what you are missing? Have to tried to use a panel removal tool when taking the panel off to see where it is sticking?
Those plastic panel push 'rivets' can sometimes need a little persuasion before coming off.

It's been a while since I removed/broke the door panel on my 98. Pry the window switch panel up (be careful, the lock tabs break easily), there should be a bolt/screw under there and there's a screw under the little trim panel at the top right corner by the mirror. I thought these door panels had the little plastic push pins as well, so why I pried the door panel out at the bottom, I broke the molded plastic hooks that hold the panel onto the door. You have to lift the whole door panel up as you're pulling away from the door.
Assuming that its the same as my 98 Nav, there are no pop screws. You just need to pop the trim around the door handle off, remove the two screws in the handle, and then pull the whole assembly up towards the roof. They may be different in the expy, but I found out the hard way by breaking two of the tabs on mine after prying the crap out of it.

I don't remember. It just pissed me off beyond comprehension. I try not to look at it when I take it off now, cause I know I'll try and rig something to put it back together when it still works fine. SOrry I didn't get to you before you broke it.
