Got an 01 Expy and need to replace the mirror control on the drivers door. I have removed the triangular close out piece and removed the screw under it as well as the screw under the window switch panel. I have tried to pry and pull the panel off and it doesn't budge. Anybody know what gives?

 

Two 8mm bolts underneath the covers on either side of the pull strap, one 8mm bolt underneath the trim surrounding the inside door release handle (trim pries off with a small screwdriver or something), this bolt holds the door handle to the release latch. Door panel lifts up, don't pry on it or you'll break the hooks that retain it to the door itself.

ETA - I've got a serious case of CRS right now, but isn't the door bezel set up the same way on an Expedition as it is on an F150? If so, all you've gotta do is pop the control bezel up by prying underneath it from the front and/or sides with a small flathead screwdriver, bezel pops out, disconnect the switch and pop it through the bezel. Or is it like on a Navigator, where the switch itself mounts in the door panel?
