Need to remove the TB on my 1998 Navi. Anyone have experience with that?

Is it possible to remove the TB on the 5.4? I was looking at it good and it looks like the are 3 bolts holding it to the intake aside from all the other B/S that you have to remove or loosen. There is a bolt all the way in the back under the firewall that looks like a Bi@$#. Has anyone removed the TB from the 5.4 navi before. Any input would be awsome. Thanks.

Are you talking tb or intake manifold?

I would post over in the engine section for more answers.

I have removed the tb from a 98 5.4 expy. Not sure how much diff there is between this part of our engines, but there should not be that much difference. Anyway, I used this link with pictures for guidence http://www.fordf150.net/howto/throttlebodyclean.php . This is for a 4.6, but still helpful. The most difficulty I had was figuring out how to remove the cruise control cable from the tb.

I'm not sure how helpful or relevant this info is, but good luck.
