1st day, 1st problem

problem with my new to me 2003 eddie bauer expedition. The computer keeps telling me that there is a door ajar but they are all closed. The outside lights will not turn off unless I turn the **** all the way down till it clicks...
anyone have any idea how to fix this??

other than that, it rides and handles much better than my 01 F150 supercrew king ranch!!

Spray some wd-40 into the door latch. Usually the drivers door is sticking. BTW congrats on the new truck.

Take a look at your rear hatch window class. If I hit the hatch button instead of the door unlock on the key fob, without looking, the lights go on and I feel dumb when I try to open in and it is still locked. I have had to get out atleast 4 or 5 times to shut the glass. Just a thought.

if it starts doing that again, a good way to tell which door it is, is sit in the vehicle with it running and all the doors shut. Have someone else go around to each door at a time and open it and then shut it. The message center should beep everytime a door opens. The door that doesnt make it beep is already reading as opened, so it is the door with the stuck switch.
