Drivers side window is out of it’s clips, what type of adhesive to use?

My mother has a 97 Expedition. The other day the drivers side window stopped working, when I took the door apart, I found that the window had come out of the little clips that it was glued into. My question is how do I get the window secured back into the little clips? What type of adhesive should I use? I only saw one post on this when I did a search and they said that they used silicone, the stuff used on fish tanks, is this the best way to go, or is there a special type that I should use?

Thanks

John

Regluing really does not work. It will end up pulling apart again.

The best solution is to replace the glass.
