Wiper Arm Adjustment

Ive tried searching and cant seem to come up with what im looking for. The passenger side wiper arm stops on top of the wiper cowl and does not go far enough to the middle. I need to take off the arm and reposition it on the grooves but i cant seem to figure out how to get the wiper arm off. If someone could please tell me, i would appreciate it. Thanks MATT

The arm fits on a splined shaft and there is some type of clip that keeps the arm from falling off. I have not looked at any of the newer trucks to see exactly what type of clip is on them, but you should be able to look at it and figure out how to release the clip and then lift the wiper arm off the shaft.

Most vehicles have similar clips. If you have ever removed one, then you already know how.

Pull the cover off the wiper arm (where it attaches to the shaft) and remove the nut.Cover just pops off.
Remove arm and reposition. Reinstall the nut and cover.

After removing the nut, fold the arm in the position away from the windshield. It make take a good pull to get it off the shaft.

Thanks, HS. I looked at mine today and popped off the plastic cap. Now I will know how to remove them when the time comes.
