Hello all,

We are considering either an 04 EB Expy or an 05 Volvo XC90. Just curious what your thoughts are. Do any of you own the Volvo? I had a Screw and was happy with it, but this is for the wifey. I'm concerned that she might not be able to, or enjoy driving the Expy. She had a Volvo car and liked it until it was totalled a couple of weeks ago - but that's another story.

Thoughts?

 

Isn't the new Ford Freestyle based on the Volvo XC90 platform also?

 

I think they are both (XC and Freestyle) based on the S60/S80 platform - as is the new 500. You can tell as soon as you look at the B-pillar in the Ford's. They are HUGE like the Volvo pillars.

 

Last month I sold my '02 Supercrew for a new Exp. Eddie for two reasons. Second child on the way and so that it would be easier for my wife to drive, which it is. We looked at the Volvo, BMW X3 3.0, and Land Rover Disc. $ for $, I feel, you get ALOT more with the Ford. Hope it helps.
