Question Load Leveling Suspension

Just bought a 00 Eddie Bauer with the load leveling suspension. I also have a 99 F-150 with the offroad package and I'm finding around town that the Expedition rides alot more rough. Also how reliable is this suspension?

My 97's LLS has never given me any problems after 104K miles...knock on wood.

Do you find it rides alittle stiff around town. On the highway it seems to soften up some. Thanks for the reply.

Just a thought, but maybe check your air pressure. When we had our '00 EB I always that the thing rode way to soft, in addition when the shocks do start to go, the truck will get quite soft.

I have the tire pressure @ 30 psi at all fours. I'm just surprised that my f-150 rides smoother around town.

My 99 rides a bit rough when it is not under load. But it rides smooth compared to what a normally drive (dropped mustang). I think its normal for it to ride a bit rough when not under load.

It rides OK, decent for a truck but stiff compared to a car.

There is so much unsprung weight on the rear axle, it's never gonna ride all that great.

One reason why I stuck with 60-series tires on my 18-in L wheels is because I didn't want to sacrifice any more ride quality.

The Expedition has a shorther wheelbase than the F-150. That difference will impact the ride quality.
