I just sold my 2002 f250 and bought a real nice 2002 Navigator and was wondering about towing ability. I have a boat that weighs in at about 5500 pounds trailer and all, now it stays down at the lake most of the time but I do like to bring it home every now and again to run it on the Ohio river. My question is will the 160 mile round trip with the boat be ok with my Navi or should I just leave the boat at the lake?

 

You wont have any problems at all towing that boat. I would not tow a boat that weighed any more than 10K lbs with your Navi, but I see guys towing 6-7 lb boats with Expos, 4.6 F-150's and Navis all the time at the lake. If the trailer has brakes, the weight should be fine for your truck.
