Anyone install a DVD entertainment system in their Expy?

If so, let me know what kind of setup you went with. Post pics if you have em.

I'd like something with a flip down screen that mounts on the interior roof, but I'm not sure how feasible that is with the overhead console setup Expeditions have.

Thanks!

I installed my system.

Alpine CVA-1000 Head Unit (modded for Video)
Alpine SEA-8081 Security System w/Remote Start
Windows UP, and Remote Pager
Soundstream Reference 405s 5 Channel amp Stinger Wires and Cables
Fahrenheit 7.2" Monitor (Pass. Seatback) Pyle 5.6" Monitor (Drivers seatback)
Audiovox Overhead Console with 6.4" Monitor
Blaupunkt DVD Player, Cobra 148 GTL CB peaked & Tuned w/LSB & USB & Extra channels
7' Wilson Adjustable SWR antenna

The overhead monitor was the hardest, but even that wasn't so hard. Only because I had to install a different overhead console. It was all in all a fairly simple install if you are afraid of cutting into your vehicle and have some knowldege of electronics. If you are even a bit squeamish about cuttinginto your vehicle....Have it done by a pro.

I installed mine, it's a Sony DVD Dream System available from Crutchfields. I paid $895. Sorry, no pictures yet but it's a pretty big job and required a lot of tools and time. I've got the DVD player in the center console, the monitor is the only thing that mounts to the roof rails I mounted under the headliner.

I installed an add on console that flips down from the headliner, not a bad install and a good price. I installed the DVD player in the center console. http://stores.yahoo.com/electronics-...0exnafldo.html

I had a 12.1 or 12.2 can't remember flip down installed in my wifes 04 Expy. They installed the DVD player in the center console. I would not buy this type of set-up again for anything. Way to difficult to turn on the TV. then the DVD then the tuner if you want to try and pick up stations over the air. After doing all this you still have to make sure the T.V. is on video one for DVD, video two for T.V., video 3 if someone is playing video games.
They make systems that are all built into one. (Like the factory systems) They even have sets with the tuners built in. Audio cinema makes a very nice system with nice picture.....which is what I wish I would have bought.
