Question Recommended Shocks for Expy

What shock manufacturer and model would you recommend for a 2WD Expedition to firm up the ride and improve handling?
Thanks

I've had the edelbrocks for almost four years now with no problems. love the ride, the wife says it's too firm but I love it.

Can't go wrong with Rancho, Bilstein, Edelbrock.

Personally, I've always been a Rancho guy.

1 vote for Bilsteins here. 40K miles and they're still as good as day 1.

Thumbs up Edelbrocks

MDWILLI-
As you can see in the thread, you have several options. This first upgrade I did on my 2000Expy was install Edelbrocks. I've had them for 3.5 years. Coupled with an rear anti-sway bar upgrade and poly bushing for the front, the shocks take out nearly all the lateral roll as well improve dampening.

I don't think you can with either Ranchos, Bilsteins, or Edelbrocks. It comes down to how you drive your truck (straight highway all the way to nutty off-road) that will determine your selection.

Good luck with your upgrade!
